Tiny Sunglasses And Why They Are So Popular

Tiny sunglasses have more of a love-hate relationship—some think it's cute while some think it's hideous and just a fad. Backtrack to 2017, and some celebrities echoed why they didn’t like tiny sunglasses at all.

Mindy Kaling, for instance, tweeted “I think we will regret this tiny sunglasses look.” Anne Hathaway thought so too.

On the other hand, celebrities like Bella Hadid and Rihanna have embraced Tiny sunglasses. Interesting, enough “tiny sunglasses” finds its inception in an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that was filmed in January 2017.

The show sees Kim Kardashian conversing about how her husband Kanye West sent her an e-mail forbidding her from wearing huge sunglasses. (can’t argue with that, she is known for loving chunky, huge sunglasses)

“He sent me like, millions of ’90s photos with tiny little sunglasses,” she enthuses. And that’s how this trend spread like wildfire in 2017—which still burns bright in 2018.

Just when you thought you will not get to see any more of that 90s nostalgia, tiny rectangle sunglasses are back. They were in almost every music video of the 90s, remember?

We would also like to make it clear that tiny rectangle sunglasses are not entirely useful for UV protection. People wear them to accentuate their looks and add to their features.

They had the ultimate ‘cool girl vibe’ and they still have that going for them.

And if you are like us and follow trends and every passing fashion fad, we reckon you pick them up. They come with this brooding, noir vibe.

Tiny rectangle sunglasses look particularly great on demins and muted colours.

Tiny Cat Eye sunglasses are a fad of 2018 too. We have been seeing a lot of these lately mainly with celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Rihanna and many more. They look notably different and quirky.

Again, they are not for someone who is looking for optimum UV protection because they are not wide enough. But they pair well with various dress types like cool casuals, polka dotted dresses and more.
